AMA Pro Hillclimb Event at Swain Resort Cancelled

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (April 18, 2013) - AMA Pro Racing regretfully announced today the cancellation of AMA Pro Hillclimb Round 6, previously scheduled for July 21, 2013 at Swain Resort in Swain, NY.

“The owners are concerned about the amount of time they will have to get the proper permits for designing the course, especially with the late snow season, and feel it in the best interest of everyone to push plans for the event to future seasons,” said Scott Campbell, PHA President and AMA Pro Hillclimb Race Manager. “AMA Pro Hillclimb was excited to add this new event to the 2013 schedule. However, we understand the issues and concerns of the promoter and are disappointed to not be able to feature the new challenge for our riders and fans. AMA Pro Hillclimb and Swain Resort look forward to working together in the future and to attempt to get the event on the schedule for upcoming seasons. We will continue to seek new venues for the Series.”

The AMA Pro Hillclimb Series kicks off in Jefferson, Pa. at White Rose Motorcycle Club on June 2, 2013. AMA Pro Racing looks forward to bringing its talent-packed paddock to fans at upcoming 2013 events. Fan can view further details and scheduling information at www.amaproracing.com.
